ADIDAS - Union Jack Classic | Oxford Street
I was commissioned on behalf of ADIDAS to provide face painting at their Oxford Street store ahead of the inaugural Union Jack Classic at Wembley Stadium, featuring the Kansas Jayhawks and Arizona State Sun Devils.
The activation brought the excitement of American college football to London, with supporters getting team-inspired face paint in the run-up to the game. It was a great opportunity to work directly with a global sports brand on a high-profile London activation.
The experience
I painted team logos on arms, hands and faces to add to the experience of the day and help to drive sales and engage with fans at the ADIDAS Store.
Vision
Over the course of the day the face painting added to the fun and engaging atmosphere of the event and provided a memorable experience for the American College Football fans.
The excitement around the activation came from being part of a truly historic sporting occasion. The Union Jack Classic marked the first time both the Kansas Jayhawks and Arizona State Sun Devils had played in London, and the first American college football game ever held at Wembley Stadium. With fans travelling from the US to be part of the occasion, the atmosphere was already building at the ADIDAS Oxford Street store the day before the teams took to the field.
