My other business as an Illustrator

As an artist at heart, I have started a business selling my hand-drawn illustrations as art prints, textiles (such as silk scarves and cushions) and I also sell digital clip art sets of my drawings.

Halloween will be a busy one!

Pumpkins, goblins, monsters and cats, devils, witches, skeletons and bats. Specialising in Halloween designs I love face painting in October every year. Face painting is a must at Halloween and I will attend all kinds of events and parties over the Halloween week. Enquire now to get your event booked in - as usual it will be hard to get a face painter last minute at this time of year!

Artycat in the local press

I was very pleased to have face painted at a community funday in Fulham. We were lucky that we had the only sunny day of that week in early June, and it was very hot. I was happy to be featured in the Fulham Chronicle with Lea Barbierato who wanted to be painted as a butterfly. There were many stalls selling clothes, household items, cakes, drinks, burgers and all manor of other things. Face painting also raised extra money for the community centre, and the kids seemed pleased :-).

Face painting for health

I regularly face paint at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust annual May summer funday - this event is great fun, with many stalls showcasing the work of the hospital. The event brings the local community together with patients and the public. Some face painting of mine was featured on the hospital website.

Face painting for the big screen

It's so much fun to face paint at film premieres showcasing the latest films for children in London’s Leicester Square. Kids are delighted to be able to have characters from the film painted on their faces or arms and then to watch the film before release. The latest screenings have included ‘Despicable me 2’, 'Moshi's monsters' and 'Mr Peabody and Sherman'.

Performance painting at the Nehru Centre

I worked at the Nehru Centre in central London in February in relation to 'Chandra' - an exhibition of documentary photography from London, India and Scotland inspired by 'The Heartstone Odyssey' book trilogy set in those locations. The exhibition narratives were explored in performance through dance and storytelling. For the performance I face painted the dancers as snakes who are characters in the story, and they performed to a packed audience.
